Rubicon Side Table: Behind the Scenes

A sculptural take on our classic stump table, this one-of-a-kind piece features a hand carved texture that creates movement and rhythm, evoking the feeling of water moving or the mountain air blowing.

These stumps were sustainably sourced reclaimed pine from the Tahoe National Forest harvested over 20 years ago. Kiln dried for over 25 hours to control moisture and purity, they are then brought to our artist in Reno who shapes and carves each stump by hand.

We have not added any additional colored stain, but simply let the natural wood color and personality shine through. Our signature brass bowtie is inlaid in the top, an elegant finish to this organic shape which also adds structural stability. On the base of the stump, there are three silver metal casters, allowing the stump to move freely or sit safely on carpet or hardwood floors.

Both functional and sculptural, the Rubicon Side Table brings a warm, organic presence to a living space—pairing beautifully beside a lounge chair, sofa, or even as an artful accent near a soaking tub.
