Notes on Color: Marigold

NOTES

ON

COLOR

Marigold is our March color of the month! I will never forget visiting India years ago and going to the flower market at 5am and seeing the stacks upon stacks of marigolds - simply spectacular. Marigold is also tied to my youth growing up in Marin and seeing the wild California poppies blanketing the hillsides. For me, it’s a grounding, natural color that carries a strong sense of optimism and warmth.

Marigold in Interiors

In my interiors I would typically use Marigold as a pop of color in a room. Think a statement accent chair or you open a door to a surprising Marigold powder room! For a client who is open to being a little more bold, I would go for a Marigold sofa, draperies, or wallcovering.
