Carson Side Table: Behind the Scenes

Made from pine sourced near Sierraville in the Tahoe National Forest, this side table brings together traditional technique and hand-finished detail. The surface is treated with a charred shou-sugi-ban finish, giving it a deep black tone and rich, tactile texture.

A solid brass bowtie inlay is set into the top, adding both strength and a subtle point of contrast. The hand carved legs are finished in a hickory-stained, water-based tint that warms up the overall piece.

Multiple thin layers of polyurethane seal the entire table, offering long-lasting protection while letting the material and craftsmanship come through.
